Pre-Treatment Instructions for Botox® and Dysport®

To ensure optimal results and minimize side effects, follow these pre-treatment guidelines:
Avoid Blood Thinners: Refrain from alcohol, anti-inflammatory medications (e.g., Aspirin, Motrin), and supplements (e.g., Vitamin E, Omega-3s) for at least 24 hours before your treatment.
Consult with Your Doctor: Do not discontinue prescribed blood-thinning medications like Plavix, Warfarin, or Eliquis unless advised by your healthcare provider.
Reschedule If Ill: If you have a facial infection, cold sore, fever, or recent exposure to contagious illnesses, please reschedule your appointment.
Dental Procedures: Avoid dental work (cleaning, scaling) for at least two weeks before and after treatment.
Avoid Alcohol: Do not consume alcohol 24 hours before treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.
Arnica Montana: Consider taking Arnica Montana for 2 days prior to treatment to reduce bruising and swelling.
Meal & Hydration: Eat a balanced meal before your appointment to avoid dizziness or low blood sugar.
No Makeup: Arrive with a clean face and avoid makeup on the day of treatment.

Post-Treatment Instructions for Botox® and Dysport®

After your Botox® or Dysport® treatment, follow these guidelines to ensure the best possible results and reduce any side effects:
What’s Normal: You may experience mild swelling, redness, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site. Some patients report a mild headache or a tight feeling in the treated areas, which will subside.
Wait for Full Effects: Results typically begin within 3 to 10 days, with full effects visible after 14 days.
Avoid Touching or Rubbing: Refrain from massaging, touching, or pressing on the treated areas for at least 4 hours post-treatment.
Stay Upright: For 4 to 6 hours after treatment, avoid lying down, bending over, or sleeping on your side.
Limit Physical Activity: Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, or tight clothing over the treated area for 24 hours.
Avoid Heat and Sun Exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight, saunas, steam rooms, and avoid hot showers for 48 hours.
Reschedule Facial Treatments: Wait a minimum of 2 weeks before scheduling skin resurfacing, facials, or laser treatments.
For Hyperhidrosis Clients: Refrain from using antiperspirant for 24 hours following treatment.

Reduce the Risk of Infection

Do Not Touch: Avoid touching or applying makeup to the treated areas for 6 hours to minimize infection risks.
Makeup Use: Only apply makeup over the treated areas the day after your procedure. Ensure all makeup tools are sanitized to reduce bacterial risk.

When to Contact Us

The esthetician herself wasn’t the issue; the real problem is the false promises they make about their laser treatments. From the very beginning, they assured me that after 8 sessions all my hair would be permanently removed. I went every month, and even though the procedure was extremely painful, I trusted that they were increasing the laser intensity properly. After the fourth session, I started developing acne and breakouts on my legs — something that had NEVER happened to me before. When I mentioned it, they simply told me my skin was dry. We continued anyway because the esthetician gave me a cream that, honestly, did absolutely nothing. After the sixth session, I had to wait more than 4 weeks due to lack of time, and during that period all the hair grew back, as if I had never started the treatment. Now I’m left with hair, marks from the breakouts, and the frustration of having wasted money on six sessions that did not work at all—despite their guarantee that after 8 sessions I wouldn’t have any hair left.
